PROSIf you are jewish (of any sort...Orthodox, Conservative, Hassidic, Modern Orthodox, Secular, Reform, etc.), JDate should NOT be ignored. Religious websites bring together one of the most important aspects of compatilibity in a relationship: Beliefs. For a "niche-like" dating website, JDate has well over a half million users (and the guy/girl ratio is almost equal, too). The searching is kind of unique and caters a lot to the jewish beliefs and rituals (kosher? attend temple regularly?, etc.).
Outside of just dating, JDate offers some great forums (for paid subscribers), interactive newsletters and local events. And even though the focus is on relationships, there is a respectable number of friendship seekers with similar Jewish interests. CONSThe communication features (that you will find in most dating websites under a paid subscription) are pretty standard here...nothing that quick WOW'ed me. Then again, very adequate with IM features, live audio and video features and of course, email features. With a free account, you still can flirt with other members, too.
JDate is very welcoming to non-Jewish users, but if religion (especially Judiasm) is not an interest of yours, this website is really not for you.
